MAC Case Studies

The BCIT team has experience of managing complex trade floor moves within multiple global investment banks in the City of London. At one bank alone over 6000 moves were executed in a single year, moving equities and fixed income traders around and between floors as the business dictated. Typically trader moves involve the relocation of 8-12 screens per desk along with the workstations driving them plus dealer boards and traditional IP telephony. The cases below are referenceable examples of BCIT managed technology relocations.

  • Financial services company relocated to a new country headquarters in Italy. As part of a larger engagement to manage the entire IT relocation including Data Centre infrastructure, BCIT managed the relocation of 1000 users including a 600 person call centre over four weekends.

  • A global brand in corporate travel relocated their Swedish Headquarters to a newly acquired building. As well as managing the IT fit-out of the building and provision of telecommunications services, BCIT managed the pre-move UAT and the actual relocation of desktop IT for 150 staff.

  • Financial brokerage in London relocated their UK operation to a new office in Canary Wharf. Broker workstations were relocated over 6 weekends to facilitate the move of over 500  staff. Being a trading environment this was a sensitive move that was executed with no disruption to trading operations.

  • A global brand in corporate travel consolidated its UK operations by moving three offices into a new prestigious headquarters in the heart of London’s Canary Wharf. As well as managing the IT fit-out of the new building, including the provision of telecommunications, infrastructure cabling, voice services and video conferencing, BCIT managed the relocation of 300 staff including call centre operations over three weekends.

  • A leading payment card issuer relocated their Stockholm Headquarters to a newly acquired building. As well as managing the IT fit-out of the building and provision of telecommunications services, BCIT managed the pre-move UAT and the actual relocation of desktop IT for 300 staff.
